I worked with John in the 80s and 90s in Edinburgh, in the South West and then in London. He was one of the best salesmen and managers of our times. Always over target, always as smart as a new pin, always one of the first to arrive at work in the morning and always one of the last to leave the pub at night! There was never a dull moment with John, whether it was a weekend at the Grand National, an evening at Powderhall, Sunday night at San Marcos or a night out at the Irish Bar in Kingston-on-Thames we all had a ball with John. He was one of the best and one of a kind. RIP friend.
